Full detailed Itinerary

On landing, you'll be met at the airport by our team holding a Wanderlust in Morocco sign, then driven straight to your riad in the heart of the medina. Once settled, step out into Jemaa el-Fna Square, where the mix of street music, spice stalls, and storytellers gives you an instant feel for Morocco's energy. Overnight in a traditional riad.

Leaving Marrakech, the road climbs through the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, winding past Berber hamlets and dramatic mountain scenery. A stop at the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — instantly recognizable from several film sets — is a highlight before continuing on. We pass through the palm-filled Skoura oasis and the Valley of Roses, known for its rose-water production, before reaching Tinghir for the night, tucked between mountains and palm groves. Dinner and overnight at a local hotel.

Morning departure to the Todra Gorges, where canyon walls rise up to 300 meters — well worth a walk along the base. From there, the route continues to Erfoud, a town known for its fossil trade and craftsmanship, before arriving at Merzouga, the doorway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here's where the real adventure begins: mount your camel for the trek across the dunes to our luxury desert camp, where dinner under the stars comes with Berber drumming and music around the fire. Overnight in the desert camp.

Early risers can catch sunrise over the dunes — a moment worth the wake-up call. After breakfast at camp, ride back by camel to Merzouga to rejoin your vehicle for the return drive to Marrakech, once again crossing the High Atlas with its shifting scenery of green valleys and bare peaks. Arrival in Marrakech around sunset, with transfer to your riad.

Your guide collects you from the riad around 8:30–9:00 AM for a walking tour of the Red City: the Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Medersa, the medina souks, the Mellah (Jewish quarter), Jemaa el-Fna Square, and the Koutoubia Mosque. In the afternoon, there's the option to add the Majorelle Garden and Yves Saint Laurent Museum (tickets booked in advance). The day wraps up with a transfer to Marrakech Airport in time for your flight.
